KERALA LATIN CATHOLIC COMMUNITY RAISES VARIOUS DEMANDS IN COMMUNITY CONVENTION AT ALAPPUZHA- DEC 4TH - COMMUNITY DAY 2016

The Kerala Latin Catholic Community raises various demands on the community day celebrations at Alappuzha on Dec 4th, 2016.  The rectification of anomalies in CRZ Notification so as to enable the house construction of local inhabitants in coastal area, Special recruitment under the findings of Js Narendran Commission, SC ST Reservation for Dalit Christians, Special package for coastal area, Fisheries Ministry at Central Government, Assignment of land for the landless labourers etc are the demands raised by the community. The Community also demands not to implement the coastal highway project which evicts 35000 people, without proper study on the project. 

The General Secretary of KLCA (Kerala Latin Catholic Association) the official community organisation of latin catholics airs the views of KLCA in the light of the various demands raised by the Community. Many of these demands were already raised by the KLCA in various forums and it resulted in culminating such a mass movement for the attainment of demands.
